On the top of the mastaba, to expose the shafts. Stones, dubsh, sand, limestone debris and papers. A mud brick wall appears on north running from west to east. Fixed with G 2187, G 2196 and also some shafts. Expose some shafts.

G 2188 A: In shaft. It is the first shaft on southeast of the mastaba. It is south of B. Lined with mud brick and dubsh. Building gone on north. Total depth 1.5 meters. Excavated before 1.2 meters. Limestone debris, dubsh and sand. Chamber on north lined with stones. Roofed with stones. All the roof gone now. No blocking. Cleared. Drawing.

G 2188 B: In shaft. It is south of X and north of A. Lined with stones and dubsh above and rock below. Total depth 2.8 meters. Excavated before 2.55 meters. Limestone debris, sand and papers. Chamber on east. Cut in rock. Small chamber. Roofed with one stone. No blocking. Cleared. Drawing.

G 2188 C: In shaft. It is east of X and south of Y. Lined with stones. Some of the building gone on east. Total depth 40 cm. Sand, limestone debris and dubsh. Chamber on south. Lined with stones and was roofed with stones also. Roof not gone. Blocked with two stones and underneath debris. Shaft D appears under shaft C. Drawing on page 146.

G 2188 D: Exposed the building of the shaft. It is under the building of C. We did not work on shaft D until we removed shaft C.
