Work on G 2381 and G 2382.

On account of amulets, one wooden mask etc., there appears to have been a communal grave here of about same period as that in M.P.T. (G.M.T. [Menkaure Pyramid Temple]). The paved way on the debris of decay probably leads to entrance of this communal grave.

Borchardt came out to see me. Carter called at excavations. Dr. and Mrs. Haynes came to dinner.

Cleared away late (Roman) pavement (incline) and debris of decay. Turned out a large number of blocks painted and inscribed. The painted blocks are from the tomb of [GLYPHS] [Nekhebu] - rows of figures, some red, some brown yellow, and some with brown streaks (sic!). Each with a title and the name before it.
In hole 1, (G 2382) in front of door of G 2370, a limestone head and body [12-12-9]. In sand to north: a blue-glazed amulet [12-12-10a] (standing cat-headed goddess), H[eight] 4.2 cm.
