Work continued south of G 4520 exposing intermediate mastaba.

G 4220
Pit and chamber G 4220 finished, finding in chamber one mud seal in three fragments, four entrail (white limestone) jars, only one with cover, a few pieces of copper, mud conicals, and many different shapes and wares pottery fragments. Also one four sided stone found (plummet?) [ILLUSTRATION]

West returned from the Sudan.

Work continued south of G 4520 finding fragments of chest of alabaster statuette and half a flint flake in debris.

Friday, April 24, 1914

Debris in G 4411 being cleared from room.

North of G 4520
Work finished north of G 4520, finding two alabaster fragments.

Pit G 4141 [= G 4140-Annex] (or G 4140 B [= G 4140-Annex A]) finished.

Work ceased for the season at noon.
