G 2075 D(2): Removed the chamber blocking. Cut in rock. Rubble and mud from the blocking. A small north-south wooden coffin appeared. Above the lid of the coffin is a small wooden round object hollowed in the middle. Coffin left for photo.

G 2430 A: Removed the chamber blocking. Cut in rock. Two stones and crude brick underneath and mud from the blocking. We exposed that the blocking was opened before, because the northern stone of the blocking was laying loose o the southern stone (without any bound). Also the chamber was full of sand. In the chamber appeared, limestone canopic jars some complete and some broken in complete, also pottery jars and bowls. Disturbed skeleton inside rock cut coffin without lid. Left for photo.

Monday, June 5 1939
Mr. W.S. Smith and Frank Allen went down in shaft G 2430 A. Drew some of the mud jar stoppers (uninscribed). Not yet removed.

Tuesday, June 6 1939
Day of rest.

Wednesday, June 7 1939
Mr. W.S. Smith and Mohammed Said Ahmed went to the Cairo Museum to deliver the Hetepheres curtain box, reconstructed by Ahmed Yusef Eff. Also they delivered: a big mended alabaster bowl, a complete small alabaster bowl, and two covers of alabaster bowls.

G 2430 A: Mohammed Sayed and eight guards working in the chamber. In removed the debris from it and the coffin. Limestone debris, sand, bones and decayed wooden fragments. (It perhaps was contained of a wooden coffin inside the rock cut coffin). Removed the objects from the chamber. The objects are: four limestone canopic jars with covers (one broken), two collar jars on stands (alabaster), one alabaster jar stand, fourteen alabaster small dishes, two sand stones with copper stains, five mud jar stoppers (uninscribed), one carnelian cylinder bead, one tubular faience bead, faience, three petal pendants faience, four cylinder beads faience, one model chisel of copper, seven fragments of copper models pointed at one end, five pottery jars of different types, most of them complete, broken pottery bowls (some of them mended but not complete), fragments of gold leaf. Chamber cleared. Drawing on page 826.

G 2075 D(2): Mr. Handrick and Mohammed Said Ahmed down in the chamber to draw the wooden coffin, which has traces of red paint, but decayed and broken. Removed the lid and the two ends after the drawing, also removed the round wooden objects which was above the cover. Found inside the coffin: a very small part of a very decayed wooden headrest. Also in the coffin, body, head on north (broken). Left for photo.
