Western Cemetery (Mace): Western Cemetery (Mace)
Excavator: Arthur Cruttenden Mace
British, 1874–1928

Excavator: George Andrew Reisner
American, 1867–1942

Remarks: In January 1903, Reisner sent Mr. A. C. Mace with a small party of trained workmen for a preliminary excavation of the western edge of the Western Cemetery. He excavated about 25 tombs west of Lepsius 19 and concluded it was more feasible to start from G 2000 (Lepsius 23) and work westward.
